This guide explains how to find, install, authorize, and start using XLGantt for Google Sheets.<\/p>\n

XLGantt for Google Sheets is installed from the Google Workspace Marketplace and runs inside Google Sheets.<\/p>\n

Before You Start<\/h2>\n

You need:<\/p>\n

- A Google account
\n- Access to Google Sheets
\n- Permission to install Google Workspace Marketplace apps<\/p>\n

If you use a work or school Google Workspace account, your administrator may restrict Marketplace app installation. If installation is blocked, please contact your Google Workspace administrator.<\/p>\n

Install from Google Sheets<\/h2>\n

1. Open Google Sheets<\/h3>\n

Go to Google Sheets and open a new or existing spreadsheet.<\/p>\n

https:\/\/sheets.google.com\/<\/p>\n

2. Open the Add-ons Marketplace<\/h3>\n

From the Google Sheets menu, click:<\/p>\n

Extensions > Add-ons > Get add-ons<\/p>\n

This opens the Google Workspace Marketplace.<\/p>\n

3. Search for XLGantt<\/h3>\n

In the Marketplace search box, search for:<\/p>\n

XLGantt for Google Sheets<\/p>\n

You may also search for:<\/p>\n

XLGantt<\/p>\n

XLGantt is pronounced \u201cExcel Gantt.\u201d<\/p>\n

4. Select XLGantt for Google Sheets<\/h3>\n

Click the XLGantt for Google Sheets listing in the search results.<\/p>\n

5. Click Install<\/h3>\n

Click the Install button.<\/p>\n

Google may ask you to choose the Google account you want to use.<\/p>\n

6. Review Permissions<\/h3>\n

Google shows the permissions requested by the add-on.<\/p>\n

XLGantt for Google Sheets needs permission to:<\/p>\n

- Work with the current Google Sheets document
\n- Show menus, dialogs, and sidebars in Google Sheets
\n- Save add-on settings
\n- Retrieve public holiday data from xlworks.net<\/p>\n

XLGantt does not send your spreadsheet content or project data to an external server.<\/p>\n

7. Click Allow<\/h3>\n

If you agree with the permissions, click Allow.<\/p>\n

After installation is complete, click Done.<\/p>\n

Start Using XLGantt<\/h2>\n

1. Refresh the Spreadsheet<\/h3>\n

After installation, refresh your spreadsheet or close and reopen it.<\/p>\n

2. Open the XLGantt Menu<\/h3>\n

In Google Sheets, go to:<\/p>\n

Extensions > XLGantt for Google Sheets<\/p>\n

Depending on your Google Sheets interface, the menu may appear under:<\/p>\n

Extensions > Add-ons > XLGantt for Google Sheets<\/p>\n

3. Create a New Project Template<\/h3>\n

To start a new project, click:<\/p>\n

Create New Project Template<\/p>\n

XLGantt creates the basic sheets needed for project scheduling, including:<\/p>\n

- Schedule
\n- Progress
\n- Calendar
\n- AnalysisReport
\n- Progress_Data<\/p>\n

4. Set Your Language<\/h3>\n

The default language is English.<\/p>\n

To change the language:<\/p>\n

Extensions > XLGantt for Google Sheets > Options > Language<\/p>\n

Supported languages:<\/p>\n

- English
\n- Korean<\/p>\n

5. Update the Schedule<\/h3>\n

After entering tasks, dates, resources, and progress values, click:<\/p>\n

Extensions > XLGantt for Google Sheets > Update Schedule<\/p>\n

The add-on calculates the schedule and updates the Gantt chart.<\/p>\n

How to Uninstall<\/h2>\n

To uninstall XLGantt for Google Sheets:<\/p>\n

1. Open Google Sheets
\n2. Click Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons
\n3. Find XLGantt for Google Sheets
\n4. Click Options
\n5. Click Uninstall<\/p>\n

If you do not see the add-on after uninstalling, refresh the spreadsheet.<\/p>\n

Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n

The XLGantt menu does not appear<\/h3>\n

Try the following:<\/p>\n

- Refresh the spreadsheet
\n- Close and reopen the spreadsheet
\n- Confirm that the add-on was installed with the correct Google account
\n- Check Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons
\n- If you use a work or school account, ask your administrator whether Marketplace apps are allowed<\/p>\n

Google asks for authorization<\/h3>\n

This is normal when you first use the add-on.<\/p>\n

Click Allow if you agree with the requested permissions.<\/p>\n

Installation is blocked<\/h3>\n

If you use a work or school Google Workspace account, your administrator may block Marketplace apps.<\/p>\n

Please contact your Google Workspace administrator and ask whether XLGantt for Google Sheets can be allowed for your organization.<\/p>\n

The add-on says a sheet is missing<\/h3>\n

If you are starting from a blank spreadsheet, use:<\/p>\n

Create New Project Template<\/p>\n

This creates the required sheets.<\/p>\n
