XLGantt for Google Sheets (“the Add-on”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a Google Sheets editor add-on provided by [xlworks.net]. This Privacy Policy explains how the Add-on accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when you use it.
1. Information We Access
The Add-on works inside the Google Sheets document where it is installed or used. To provide its features, the Add-on may access and modify data in the current spreadsheet, including:
- Schedule, task, WBS, date, progress, resource, workload, and calendar information entered by the user
- Generated sheets such as Schedule, Progress, Calendar, AnalysisReport, and Progress_Data
- Add-on settings such as language, project options, holiday calculation options, display options, and formatting preferences
The Add-on uses the following Google permissions:
- View and manage the current Google Sheets document
- Display dialogs and sidebars in Google Sheets
- Store add-on settings using Google Apps Script PropertiesService
- Connect to an external server to retrieve public holiday data
2. How We Use Information
The Add-on uses spreadsheet data only to provide user-facing project schedule and analysis features, including:
- Creating and updating Gantt schedules
- Calculating planned and actual progress
- Creating progress dashboards and analysis reports
- Managing project calendar and holiday calculations
- Saving user preferences such as language and display options
We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, credit evaluation, or any unrelated purpose.
3. External Server Requests
The Add-on may connect to the following server only to download public holiday data:

When retrieving holiday data, the Add-on downloads public holiday JSON files. The Add-on does not send your spreadsheet content, task data, project data, personal data, or Google account data to this server.
4. Data Storage
The Add-on stores settings using Google Apps Script PropertiesService:
- Document-level settings may be stored with the spreadsheet.
- User-level settings, such as preferred language, may be stored for the current Google user.
Spreadsheet data remains in your Google Sheets document. We do not operate a separate database that stores your spreadsheet content.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties.
We do not transfer your spreadsheet data to external services, except where required to provide the Add-on’s visible user-facing features and only as described in this Privacy Policy.
6. Human Access to Data
We do not access or read your spreadsheet data unless you explicitly share the spreadsheet with us for support purposes. If you request support and choose to share files or screenshots, we will use that information only to respond to your request.
7. Data Security
The Add-on runs on Google Apps Script and Google Sheets. Data processed by the Add-on remains within the user’s Google environment unless explicitly described in this Privacy Policy.
External requests, when used, are made over HTTPS.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
You control the spreadsheet data created or modified by the Add-on.
To delete data created by the Add-on, you may:
- Delete generated sheets such as Schedule, Progress, Calendar, AnalysisReport, or Progress_Data
- Remove the Add-on from your Google account or spreadsheet
- Delete the spreadsheet itself
- Contact us for support if you need help identifying Add-on-created data
Because we do not maintain a separate external database of your spreadsheet content, deleting the data from your Google Sheets environment removes it from our Add-on’s operating context.
9. Google API Services User Data Policy
The Add-on’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Add-on is intended for general productivity and project management use. It is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we access, use, or share Google user data, we will update this page and, where required, ask users to review and consent to the changes.
